We had our first 'legitimate' snowfall last Friday night and woke up to snow covered grass and freezing temperatures on Saturday morning. The girls were so excited when they looked out onto the balcony off of our bedroom and spotted the "snow" and couldn't wait to go play outside! Since we have had such a mild winter I hadn't purchased new snow suits for the girls this season, but given that it felt like 6 degrees with the windchill the girls needed to be bundled up. So I dug out their snowsuits from last year to see if they happened to still fit and they fit like a glove ... minus the capri length legs :) And combined with their new snow boots we were set for cold temperatures and fun!
The girls had so much more fun than they did last year in the snow (not a high bar since last year Kenzie screamed the entire time she was out in the snow). There really wasn't enough of it to build a snowman or to go sledding, but they had a great time just stomping around and throwing snowballs.
We weren't outside for long, because it was FREEZING!
So we came inside and the girls helped their Daddy prepare a big (crock)pot full of white chicken chili! A great meal for a cold day. I love watching Randall and the girls cook together ... such a sweet sight!
so so cute!!! i begin to miss them:) it was big snow, i was frozen on Saturday morning when i left to Airport...
